This park is one of the last big key pieces of this community. From the air, the park takes on the look of Central Park in New York City: 13 acres of greenspace sprawling between condos and townhome buildings. Wilco planted 400 trees in this park: ash, elm, and maples all showing a mix of beautiful fall colours and creating a shaded canopy as they mature.
The bandshell/amphitheatre will be a popular gathering space in the neighbourhood for events, with the elevated viewing area overlooking the stage below and the lake in the background. The park is interconnected with pathways winding throughout Mahogany, and wrapping around the lakeside, tying into the coffee shops, restaurants and playgrounds.
Mahogany has been one of Calgary’s most successful and thriving new communities in the last ten years, and the emphasis on parks and recreation development by Hopewell are a big part of that appeal to homeowners.
